The ship was disabled and started to drift on Feb 28, roughly halfway between Brazil and Cape Town, South Africa. SAR tug SA AMANDLA (IMO 7385215) understood to be contracted for towage to Cape Town, towage commenced on Mar 8, ETA Mar 26. Cause and character of trouble unknown. It may be mechanical/engine/steering failure, it may well be something else, considering type of the ship and her laden status.
