Product tanker BALT FLOT 4 (loaded with 5276 tons of heavy fuel) collided with general cargo ship Volgo-Don 151 (loaded with 5191 tons of gravel) at 582 kilometer mark, river Scheksna, Russian Waterways, at 0527 Moscow time Jun 2, while the ships were passing each other on reciprocal courses. Tanker sustained railings and hawsepipe damages, cargo ship sustained dents in bow section area. VOLGO-DON 151 went off fairway after collision and grounded by her bow section, was refloated with the help of the tug some 2 hours later. Both ships were brought to anchor near collision site, for inspection and investigation. No leak reported.
