Container ships collision at Perawand, Sumatra

Container ship HILIR MAS while maneuvering struck berthed container ship TELUK BINTUNI at Perawang Port, Siak River, central Sumatra east coast, in the afternoon May 30. TELUK BINTUNI sustained damages, including hull dents, broken railings, damages of cargo deck and reportedly, underwater breach or breaches, although underwater damages weren’t confirmed and clarified. No HILIR MAS damages were mentioned. As of May 4, both ships already left Perawang and are under way.
