UK and Polish bulkers collided in Amazon river Update Video

Oct 12 Update: It was the other way around – as can be seen on video, EDEN BAY looking like she was already at anchor, MAZURY for some reason, lost speed and was carried onto EDEN BAY by current. After allision, MAZURY managed to get under way and move away from EDEN BAY, which suffered breaches and dents on her bow. MAZURY suffered damages portside stern and superstructure. Both vessel were in load.

First news:
Bulk carriers EDEN BAY and MAZURY collided early in the morning Oct 11 in front of Fazendinha beach, Macapa, Amazon river. EDEN BAY reportedly was drifting at the time of an accident, awaiting permission to anchor. Both vessels entered Amazon, en route to Manaus, both said to have to pilots on board. EDEN BAY suffered superstructure and hull dents and breaches portside, stern area. No information on MAZURY damages, most probably she suffered some damages in bow area. As of 0700 UTC Oct 12, both vessels were anchored in Santana – Macapa area.
