Fishing vessel SHUN FA 698 collided with reportedly, general cargo vessel KHARIS PEGASUS early in the morning Sep 7 in Taiwan Strait some 22 nm northwest of Taichung. Both vessel resumed sailing under own power after being checked by Coast Guard boats. SHUN FA 698 reached Quanzhou China and was docked there, KHARIS PEGASUS reached port of destination Kaohsiung, Taiwan, en route from Fukuyama, and anchored on Kaohsiung anchorage. KHARIS PEGASUS suffered railing and hull dent portside, no information on SHUN FA 698 damages, though understood fishing vessel was also damaged.
