TIAN FENG 3 cargo fire, Japan

Fire erupted in cargo holds of a Chinese general cargo vessel TIAN FENG 3, docked at Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu Island, Japan, at around 0330 Tokyo time Sep 6. Vessel was loading scrap, some 500 tons were already loaded, and went on fire. Fire was put under control after four and a half hours, 18 fire teams, tugs and helicopter were deployed. No injures reported.
