Hay in one of the trucks on board of ferry MESUDIYE went on fire at 1930 LT July 19, and spread to other trucks. Ferry was en route from Lapseki to Geliboglu, Turkey, Dardanelles. Vessel docked in Geliboglu, tugs, rescue boats and fire engines were deployed in fire fighting. Fire was extinguished, no injures reported, understood ferry didn’t suffer serious damages.
