Apr 19 UPDATE: Unconfirmed but little doubt, CAPE MATHILDE was hit by portside bow of bulk carrier GULNAK on Apr 18, while GULNAK, on arrival to Teesport, was moving to her berth. The ship suffered serious damages in portside bow area, including lost or broken anchor.
Apr 19: Bulk Carrier CAPE MATHILDE suffered severe portside hull damages above waterline. It is not known when exactly did it happen, and under what circumstances. The ship was docked at Teesport UK on Apr 6, but she arrived at Teesport anchorage on Apr 1, from Rotterdam. Being berthed for such a long time means, that most likely, the ship was damaged in early April, either on anchorage or approaches, or shortly after being berthed.
