Bulk carrier ALKIMOS HERACLES ran aground at around 1230 UTC Feb 24 in Rio de La Plata, 10 nm off La Plata coast, Argentina, while en route from Tubarao, Brazil to Villa Constitucion, Argentina. Vessel was refloated in the morning Feb 25 and sailed under own power to Montevideo outer anchorage. At 1700 UTC Feb 25 vessel remained at anchor. No onformation on damages.
