Ferry VOLCAN DE TAMASITE struck pier at La Luz, Las Palmas, Canary Islands, in the afternoon Mar 9, while trying to dock in adverse weather conditions. The ship reportedly, contacted pier ramp, and had to move off, to wait for tugs. Ferry was safely docked with the help of tug. Her hull in stern area sustained visible damages, said to be dents. Probably hull was breached, also, because ferry was taken out from schedule, for damages assessment. No injures, no leak reported.
