Tanker smashed fishing boats after engine failure, Surinam

Product tanker TRADEWIND LEGEND went out of control in New Amsterdam area, approaching Paramaribo port, Suriname river, Surinam, at around 1600 UTC Nov 19. the ship dropped anchor but it didn’t stop her, and she ran on river bank near fishing pier, destroying reportedly, 13 fishing boats. Nobody was injured. Tanker went off river bank, probably under own power, sailed upstream and anchored. As of 2100 UTC Nov 20, she was still at anchor, investigation was launched. Reportedly, accident was caused by engine failure.
