General cargo ship LADY AMALIA suffered engine failure in English Channel south of Weymouth UK at around 1720 UTC Nov 5, while en route from Belfast to Erith, Thames river. Crew failed to fix problem by own means, it was decided to tow her to Cherbourg France, French SAR tug ABEILLE LIBERTE took LADY AMALIA on tow at around 1300 UTC Nov 6.
