Tanker KINSHING struck two berthed ships at Kaohsiung harbor, Taiwan, in some 10 minutes, between 0850 and 0900 Taiwan time Nov 3, while trying to leave port. First target happened to be Japanese container ship SETSU MARU, which sustained in this unprovoked attack stb damages in cargo deck area. Leaving defeated foe behind but still in fighting mood, KINSHING judging from video and track, crossed basin and struck portside of alongside berthed tanker DER YUN in cargo deck area, inflicting rather serious damages. With no other available targets in sight, KINSHING was somehow pacified, taken under control and berthed near DER YUN. KINSHING sustained bow damages. SETSU MARU was allowed to leave Kaohsiung and continued her voyage. Both tankers remained in port. No reason yet given, as to the cause of this outstanding battle.
