Frigate NITEROI suffered water ingress due to faulty sea-water valves, at Rio de Janeiro Navy Base, on Sep 8. The ship developed starboard list, but was supported by frigate F Greenhalgh (F-46), leak reportedly was sealed, water pumped out.
