Fire erupted in a cargo hold of bulk carrier GOLDEN ECLIPSE, docked at Civitavecchia, Italy, on Mar 28. Understood bulk carrier was offloading cargo of coal, some 2500 tons of coal were in hold where fire erupted, according to local media. Firefighting engines were called, fire said to be extinguished in a short time, firefighters were to ensure that there are no smoldering spots left inside.
