Bulk carrier GLORY HONGKONG reported engine room water ingress at 1041 UTC Mar 8 to Finnish MRCC, in Gulf of Finland some 18 nm west of Gogland Island, while en route to S-Petersburg, Russia. Engine room said to be sealed, partially flooded. Probably, hull was breached, or watertight systems damaged, because the ship was moving through ice floes. Finnish icebreaker NORDICA (IMO 9056985) took damaged freighter on tow, patrol ship TURSAS (IMO 1048576) was nearby as of 1730 UTC, apparently being also deployed in salvage.
