Very Large Container Ship EUGEN MAERSK had to drop anchor in emergency while leaving Hamburg early in the morning Mar 3 and proceeding downstream Elbe, encountering some mechanical problem. Tugs arrived at her side to assist if needed. Traffic for ships with length more than 120 meters was suspended. EUGEN MAERSK fixed the problem and continued voyage. According to AIS track, accident occurred in Stader area and it lasted for some 3 hours, the ship resumed sailing at around 0300 UTC Mar 3. EUGEN MAERSK arrived at next port of call, Antwerp, early in the morning Mar 4.
