Fire started in engine room area of Russian Navy destroyer MARSHAL SHAPOSHNIKOV in the morning Feb 16 in Vladivostok, Russian Far East. Firefighting emergency center was alerted at 1004 Vladivostok time (UTC + 10; Moscow + 7), 11 fire engines and 48 firefighters were deployed. At 1030 all 106 crew were evacuated. By 1330 fire was said to be put under control and extinguished, no injures reported.
