SCF crude oil tanker ZALIV AMURSKIY ran aground at 41 kilometer mark in Suez Canal in the afternoon Feb 13, while transiting Canal in northern direction, understood traffic was affected. Tanker said to be refloated at around noon Feb 14 and moving to Port Said, on tow or escorted by tug. Traffic restored. Steering failure mentioned as the cause of grounding.
