Container ship MSC MONICA ran aground on Jan 22 on St. Lawrence river sailing down the river after leaving Montreal, near Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent. According to preliminary report, vessel stranded off fairway after rudder failure. Vessel reportedly is hard aground, at 0100 UTC Jan 23 she was still aground with a tug nearby.
