General cargo vessel BF CALOOSA reported engine failure at 0326 LT Jan 13 in English Canal, northeast of Cherbourg. Salvage ship Abeille Liberte was sent to assist disabled freighter, at 1520 LT she was taken on tow to be towed to Cherbourg. Vessel was towed to Cherbourg late at night. At 0330 UTC Jan 14 vessel was at berth in Cherbourg.
