Brightoil’s aframax tanker BRIGHTOIL LUCKY collided with Chinese 290-ton fishing vessel at around 0930 Tokyo time Oct 5, in Japan sea, some 200 nm north of Oki islands, Shimane Prefecture. 16-crew fishing vessel sank, 4 fishermen understood to be rescued, 12 went missing. Japanese Coast Guard launched SAR and sent three patrol boats to collision site. BRIGHTOIL LUCKY is en route from Longkou China to Kozmino oil terminal, Russia, Primorye Region, Japan sea.
