Ro-ro passenger vessel KM WIHAN SEJAHTERA sank in Lamong Bay, Surabaya, Indonesia, reportedly at around 0930 LT Nov 16. Number of passengers on board unknown, as of 0430 UTC Nov 16 reportedly some 100 people were rescued, SAR is under way. There were cars and vehicles aboard, according to survivors stories vessel suddenly developed a heavy list, so most probably ferry capsized. Some say they felt a jolt before vessel started to list, thought to be a collision. Salvage is complicated by haze. Vessel was en route from Tanjung Perak Surabaya to Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.
