General cargo vessel BEREKET sank in the evening Jan 27 on Ahirkapi Anchorage, Istanbul, Marmara Sea. Vessel suffered water ingress in superstructure, assumedly engine room is also flooded. Vessel, judging from photos, is resting on bottom, partially above the water. Understood unmanned vessel was in lay-up, latest available AIS position was dated July 2016.
