Product tanker SPOTTAIL ran aground at around 0000 LT Nov 2 in Singapore Strait east of Pulau Takong Besar, Indonesia, in position 01 07N 103 43E, shortly after leaving Singapore. Vessel understood to be in load, bound for Galle Sri Lanka. Tanker is hard aground, as of 0300 UTC Nov 5 she was in the same position, no leak reported. According to AIS track, tanker didn’t change course and headed straight for shallow waters.
