Bulk carrier XINZHOU18, ballasting from Zhenjiang to Caofeidan, in the morning Oct 22 collided with cargo vessel LONGHAO1, loaded with 2700 tons of sand, near Zhenjiang, Yangtze river. LONGHAO1 capsized and sank, three crew were rescued. Salvage under way, salvors are to surface and refloat LONGHAO1. On photos XINZHOU18 after collision, and LONGHAO1 salvage. It is not clear yet how collision happened, and who’s to blame, investigation under way.
