Oct 13 UPDATE: Vessel was refloated at around 1630 UTC Oct 12 and taken to Sandnessjoen, where she was docked. Looks like she was towed, meaning that vessel suffered some serious damages.
Cement carrier CEMSTAR ran aground on the coast of Hugla island, roughly halfway between Trondheim and Bodo, Norway, early in the morning Oct 12, while en route from Trondheim to Kjopsvik. Grounding site bottom is mostly sand, no leaks, no water ingress, no breaches reported. Vessel seems to be hard aground, judging from photo and from failed so far attempts to refloat her, with the help of tide and tugs. As of 1300 UTC Oct 12 vessel was still aground. Photo tv2.no
