Container ship ELAFONISOS collided with ro-ro passenger ship EL VENIZELOS in the evening Oct 7 in Perama basin, Piraeus, Greece. ELAFONISOS is under repairs at Perama ship repair facilities, another vessel was at her side, EL VENIZELOS contacted them both, collision was caused by rough weather. Vessels reported to suffer damages, and were banned from sailing, until completion of survey and maybe, required repairs. As of 1230 UTC Oct 9 both vessels were at Perama, container ship berthed, EL VENIZELOS at ELAFONISOS side, anchored or stuck, unclear.
